About Us
In 1994 we imported three sires from the JDH and V8 ranches in the USA. With a strong female base and the influence of these sires, we have produced a good quality female herd with strong bloodlines. Since this time we have purchased many good sires from leading Australian studs. In 2003 we purchased a half share in Tartrus Rembrandt for $50,000 and El-Ja Taco for $32,000 in 2005.
In recent years we have purchased some top quality females to further strengthen our female herd and embarked on an extensive embryo transfer program to fast track our quest for quality.
We have a dedication to produce cattle with strong commercial traits. Our family's own commercial operation is a pure bred Brahman herd where we have used our own Cambil bred bulls for over 15 years. We produce steers and bullocks that are well suited to all markets, from live export, feeder steers to heavy Jap ox bullocks.
In 2003 and 2005 our bullocks won Champion Jap Ox and the prestigious Golden Nugget prize at the National Brahman Livestock Championships in Charters Towers. We then returned in 2006 to win this coveted trophy with a pen of trade steers.
Our cattle are raised on Proserpine's high rainfall, coastal country. They have adapted well to the hot tropical climate and high levels of parasites such as ticks and buffalo flies.
Coastal bred..........to perform anywhere.
